These activities include the announcement of an updated version of the Advanced Technology Platform – Monahans Platform Family, a series of new and unique customer demos and case studies, and four seminars being given at the show by SECO USA’s Director of Software Engineering.

Updated ATP – Better Wireless and Graphics
SECO USA’s ATP for Monahans Platform Family processors integrates the latest technologies in high-performance, low-power embedded computing. Improved ATP graphics and wireless interfaces will be demonstrated at the show.

New Customer Demos and Case Studies
Case studies and demos for several SECO USA customers will be displayed. A case study for Oceana’s submersible wrist-mounted PDA – which incorporates SECO USA’s low-power Fingertip3 platform with BatterySmart – details the rugged device’s use for special ops troops. Inovise’s Audicor 200 handheld medical instrument – based on SECO USA’s Elf3 platform with BatterySmart – is highlighted in another case study which shows how it is used by EMS professionals to quickly diagnose heart failure. Global Mobile Encryption’s CP-1000 will be demonstrated and is based on a customized SECO USA platform. The CP-1000 allows cellular telephone users to place secure encrypted calls anywhere in the world. ViaSat’s MIDS recorder will be demonstrated and is a ruggedized flight data recorder for use on fighter aircraft.

Classes on Real-Time Software Development
Dave Stewart, SECO USA’s Director of Software Engineering, will be teaching four classes at ESC this year. Classes 341 and 361 on Wednesday, September 27th at 2:00PM deal with measuring real-time performance. Classes 401 and 421 on Thursday, September 28th at 8:30AM cover the 25 most common mistakes in real-time software development.
